Alyx Rosen Aigen, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the Dr. Phillip Frost Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery. She received a bachelor’s of engineering from Duke University where she was inducted into the Tau Beta Pi engineering honor society. She received her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Following medical school, Dr. Rosen Aigen completed both a dermatology research fellowship and internship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She relocated to Miami for dermatology residency at the University of Miami.

Dr. Rosen Aigen completed a Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology fellowship at The Skin Institute of South Florida under the instruction of Dr. Eli Saleeby, a student of Dr. Frederick Mohs. She also simultaneously completed an American Society of Dermatologic Surgery accredited cosmetic surgery fellowship with Dr. Eduardo Weiss, a pioneer in the field.

Dr. Aigen’s clinical and research interests focus on skin cancer treatment, dermatologic oncologic surgery, and achieving aesthetic outcomes following oncologic surgery. She also has a robust aesthetic practice that focuses on prejuvenation and rejuvenation with injectable therapies as well as laser, light, and energy-based devices. She has published over 40 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters.
