Various clinical applications and surgical guidelines of eCO2
Since eCO2 induces collagen remodeling near the area exposed to the beam through heat losses in addition to the fine skin peeling effect on the scars and unhealthy areas, you may expect some dramatic effects on thick scars.

With traditional CO2 skin peeling laser therapy, it is very difficult to adjust the penetration depth on a large surgical area and there is significant heat loss which leads to severe pain during the surgical session. Even after the surgery, it is necessary to perform dressing on the patient. The recovery time is at least four weeks and over the next three months, the patients will experience flushing and edema. This fact offers significant disadvantages to the patient’s daily life.  
On the other hand, eCO2 allows a patient to have a fractional CO2 laser surgery merely with the help of anesthesia ointment. Within 3 to 5 days after the surgery, the outer skin will peel off and flushed skin will not last for more than one week. So, immediately after surgery, the patient can go about their daily life.   

Caution for the surgery
- Right after surgery, you should apply protective ointment onto the surgical area. On the same day, you should not clean your face with water.  
- On the second day after surgery, you may wash your face. Just as normally, you should apply moisture cream or UV protection cream to your skin.
- Within three to seven days after surgery, the cuticle on the surface of your skin will emerge clearly. Leave it alone until it peels off naturally. Don’t try to take it off yourself. 
- For a while after surgery, you should avoid heavy exercise, drinking, saunas or hot baths. 
- For two weeks after surgery, you should not expose yourself to UV light. When you go out, you should apply UV protection cream to your body.
